    You all should have received an email from me last evening.  It goes into a little competition we shall be holding for our members starting July 16.  Yes, that is right around the corner so be sure you read it and ask us questions ASAP.

  • Monday - May 4th, 2015

    Today is the day we will be starting the Olympic Weightlifting Classes.  The schedule for this month will be updated in WODify and on the schedule page on website. Please sign up under the "Weightlifting" tab if you are coming so we can prepare based on the number of attendees.  Weightlifting class is tonight at 6pm in the 3rd bay, and our regular CrossFit Class will be held in the other 2 bays, so Open Gym is off limits during this time. If you wish to do open gym, please wait until 7pm. The OLYMPIC LIFTING schedule is below:

    Great news! CrossFit War is now an affiliate of Catalyst Athletics, one of the the top programs for Olympic Lifting in the nation. We will be holding specific classes each week which will be STRICTLY Olympic Lifting, and schedules/more info will be coming soon. People have been asking; and it's finally here!


  • Tuesday - February 17th, 2015

    Due to the snow, there will be NO 530am class on Tuesday, February 17th.  The rest of the morning classes will be determined momentarily.  If you plan to come to one of the other morning classes, you MUST sign in. We will make a decision based on how much snow we get tonight and how the roads are tomorrow morning.


  • Sunday - February 1st, 2015

    Please check out the updated schedule as we have added on some specialty classes on Tuesdays/Thursdays at 7pm. We will also be having Open Gym from 1pm-3pm on Sunday's starting on February 8th for the month of February. We are excited about these and anyone from beginners to elite athletes will benefit from these classes. Check it out folks! The specialty classes include:

    February 3rd @ 7pm: Running Mechanics (Pose & Sprinting)

    February 5th @ 7pm: Shoulder to Overhead Pressing Movements

    February 10th @7pm: Explosive Hip Drive

    February 12th @ 7pm: Body Control (gymnastics, core, etc.)

    February 17th @ 7pm: Kettlebell movements (snatch, cleans, swings, etc)

    February 19th @ 7pm: Squats and Neutral Spine

    February 24th @ 7pm: Mobility (SMFR, Flossing, Smashing)

    February 26th @ 7pm: Snatching and Cleans

    Hey guys!  Just a couple of reminders.  

    WODIFY SIGN IN:

    Please be sure to sign in to class the night before (by 9pm) so we know whether we have enough people to hold a class or not.  Classes that this is VERY important for: 430am, 515am, 530am, 615am 830am, 1015am.  So all of the morning classes is a MUST.  If we do not have at LEAST two people signed in to a class, that class will be canceled.  AND, if you do sign up for a class, you must show up (eh-hem you know who you are;) 

     

    HOLIDAY SCHEDULE:

    Please look at the schedule for our holiday schedule. Same thing applies, sign in for class the night before you come. 

     

    WODIFY MEMBERSHIP:

    Starting January 1st, you will be responsible for paying for your own Wodify membership.  So if you pay with check/cash, be sure you add on $1.75 to your dues, please.  If you are paying credit card, there will be an additional $1.75 added to your normal charges. We assure you that we are not making money off of this, this is what they charge us per member.  If anyone has an issue with this, please reach out to me.  

     

    RUNNING CREDIT CARDS:

    We are no longer allowed to charge a PERCENTAGE fee for running credit cards, it has to be one flat fee across the board, no matter how big/small the transaction might be.  The convenience fee per transaction is $4.00.  If you wish to avoid this fee, feel free to bring in a different form of payment BEFORE the 1st of each month as credit cards automatically run at 12am on the 1st of each month.  This is no problem at all and if anyone has questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.  You can log in to your wodify account and look at your personal invoice, I haven't quite gotten to everyone yet to update everything, but please reach out with ANY questions.  

     

     


  • December 5th, 2014

    There will be no 4pm or 5pm class today (Friday December 5th) due to our participation in the Warrenton Christmas Parade. Everyone wanting to join in please be at the gym around 5pm. We have to pre-register at 445, but as long as you're here close to 5, we will be good. Parade starts promptly at 6pm, but we have to be there well before then. Wear warm clothes, preferrably red or green sweatshirt/coat/sweater, and a festive hat or antlers, headbands, whatever you've got that is festive!

    Also, this Saturday is the SuperFit Games at CrossFit Rubicon in Tysons Corner, VA. We have about 12 athletes competing between the hours of 9am-5pm so if you don't have anything going on tomorrow and would like to come support our awesome athletes, please come on out.

    Hey guys!  Two things I need from everyone (if you haven't already done so):

    1. Fill out and send back the waiver form that can be found in the link that was sent to you in an email. 

    2. Fill out the membership contract that you can also find in a link that was sent to your email as well.  If you are under a contract now it will auto-renew for the same terms unless you choose to cancel.  If you're paying month to month, it will auto-renew on the 1st of each month, unless you choose to cancel.  You will need to add a credit card to your file, but it will not be charged if another form of payment is received by the 1st of the month. 

    We, too, are still getting used to this new Wodify software, and we know it's very overwhelming, so we understand if you have questions. This is all very "high tech" for what we are used to, but we are loving it; we hope you guys are loving it too.

    OK well we have a lot of new things going on.  With the integration of WODIFY we lost the ability to add pics to the workout post.  So, we will now write little messages here on the main page, where we can still post pics and what not as a blog.  If I can figure out how to post pics to the workouts then I will go back to that, but for the time being here's an old pic of Crystal.
